#Down Memory Lane

⦁ Lagos, as the foremost commercial city in Nigeria and indeed West-Africa had experienced several phases of high and low evolution, coupled with rush-hour syndrome.  ⦁ Prominent persons and families of the early 60's and 70 's , in Nigeria had one time or the other lived and worked in Lagos, due to the fact that the corporate headquarters of major thriving businesses; embassies and high commissions of foreign nations were all situated in Lagos as the federal capital state then.  ⦁ Prominent places, especially on the Lagos island stretch of Lagos witnessed a drastic change as a result of the relocation of the federal capital from Lagos to Abuja in the 90's. Reduction in the population, traffic and night life etc.

COMFORT ZONE OR FLEXING COMPETITIVENESS.

While on one of my often visit to a small neighborhood church on Sunday. Something struck me about the choir rendition this particular day and my heart skipped to wonder how beautiful and organized their special number had been orchestrated.  What caused the particular ripples that kept me glued and fixated like the proverbial Bro. Nuggets from the story of Balaam & Balaak.

///////////////Num. 22:7-8  As Scripture lets us know that God is not a man that, He should lie nor the son of man that he should repent.  Beforehand, He had already told Prophet Balaam via the angel that He would not consent or answer the request/ wishes  of Balak and his people in cursing Israel.  Therefore, the subsequent divination and sacrifices administered   and supervised by Balaam were his own crafty imaginations, and not of God.  Just as in modern times when we find ourselves in a dilemma, and contemplating choices in order to arrive at the best decision   concerning a weighty issue, that a supreme authority (God) has already made a categorical statement about. If we can't convince the Balak  inclined, client to jettison such intention; we might as well do everything humanly possible to avoid a meeting with a view   to strike an agreement before such becomes a snare that we might not be able to walk away from.  Written by Tunde...
